THANK GOD WE ARE HOME! YAY!

We are home! Had a light dinner and the second load of laundry is already in the machine. We shall watch two-three episodes of Hawaii Five-O and just take it easy.

It was a looong drive but, we are home to my beautiful, uncluttered and CLEAN home...

More on our experience later...

  1. Oh dear! Sorry to hear it didn't work out as planned. Nothing worse than being more stressed on holiday than at home. Hope you have a few days to relax now that you're more comfortable. x

    1. Thanks NLA... My grandma used to say "they named exhaustion, vacation" and I started to agree with her more as I age:)

  2. I think my comment got eaten, but I was saying that I am so ashamed that my parents' house is STILL messy and cluttered... it may even be MORE cluttered than before I moved in. Not all my fault, but I just don't force myself to clean as much, since I am there every day... I need to get to it.

    1. Hi Tania! When people get old, they get tired more easily and dealing with clutter and mess gets harder. My mom is an exception (well, she donates and throws away stuff all the time so there is no clutter) but she also employs a cleaning lady who comes in every two weeks. She cannot afford more. When she gets older, sis and I will pay for a weekly may be even a more frequent service.

Good luck with dealing with your parents' home. If you do not get rid of stuff, it will keep on being a problem no matter how much you try.
