Today, I wanted to get new glasses but alas! The store was deserted. They must have moved and I could not see if there were any instructions on the door or the window.
I asked my sister to call the guy who had recommended them to see if he knows where they are gone.
Progressive lenses are both expensive and tricky to fit. Good workmanship is a must so, I just do not go anywhere to get my new glasses. Both my eyes have different degrees. I also have astigmatism in different degrees in both eyes. So, it is difficult to fit my lenses well.
Progressive are tricky! DH had gotten his at Walmart and they were terrible. He never could see well out of them and they kept telling him he was the problem (really? LOL). Finally took them back for a refund. Went to another eye dr, they even had his prescription a little different, plus the quality of lenses makes a huge difference in progressives, we found out. When I needed them I checked with Costco to see what kind of lenses they had. They had the quality kind, so I got mine there (at like a 1/3 of what I paid for dh's) and they have been great.

DeleteI have the same eye problems! Thankfully, I can see fine at distances. I am not happy with present doctor, so am looking into finding another. Moved with no sign on door!? Now, that is disheartening!
ReplyDeleteI found out where they have moved thankfully! However, I will have to wait until I get back from vacation to order new glasses.
