Massive Vertigo Attack

Last night, or rather early in the morning, I was dreaming and turned from right to left in my bed and all of a sudden I was wide awake with the world spinning real fast. I haven't had such a bad attack in quiet a while. I actually was scared that the spinning would not stop and started panicking. I then calmed myself down and finally the world stopped spinning gradually. I took my pillow and went to the recliner. I took a pill that helps and fell asleep till late morning.

Today, I am spending most of my time in the recliner and walking like a badly constructed robot when I have to prepare food or go to the bathroom.

Sigh...

Hope everyone is having a better day than I am.

  2. Hi! I'm sorry you had a vertigo attack. I suffer from them badly myself. Not to much to do for it except I take "sea sick" pills to help me. I also get Labrinthtitis which is vertigo times 100! You feel like you are having a pin ball game in your head! Not fun! I hope you are on the mend!
    Take care!

  5. So many people I know are struggling with vertigo right now. I wonder if it has anything to do with the changing seasons? I had a mild case a couple of weeks ago. Hope it subsides for you soon.

    1. Thank you. I do think it has something to do with seasons too.

  6. Look up Eppler maneuver on youtube - there are instructions on how to do it for yourself - resetting the crystals in your ear might help you.

  7. Make that Epley maneuver - I thought the first title wasn't quite right.

  8. I've suffered from vertigo for over 25 years. I finally found a chiropractor who would successfully perform the Epley maneuver on me. I haven't slept on my right side in over ten years because as soon as I begin to roll that way, the bed starts spinning. Sending good thoughts!

    1. Thank you Bobbie. My vertigo is now chronic. I cannot roll over in bed either. I need to sit up first and then lie down slowly on the other side.

  9. I am sorry, vertigos are just awful. My husband suffers from them periodically. I get panicky when I am just lightheaded ( from diabetes or blood pressure), so I can imagine how scared you felt. Wish you a quick recovery.

  11. Oh that is awful. I've only had it once before, a few years ago, and it was crazy. I hope I never get it again.
